Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know about running large, multi-site projects in Laterium. Can’t find your answer? Contact us.

Getting started

Laterium is a multi-site project management platform built for scale. You keep one central registry of your locations, standardize the work with reusable Scenarios (checklists), bulk-upload sites from a spreadsheet, and track thousands of tasks across hundreds of sites in one place.
Customize your workspace, import your locations, create a project, build a scenario (checklist), then apply it to your sites. A first-run setup wizard walks new admins through this, and an in-app Getting Started guide is always available from the Help menu.
No. Laterium runs in your browser and works on desktop and mobile. You can also try the live demo—no signup required—to explore real sample data as an Admin, Store Manager, or Vendor.

Locations & Unique IDs

The Unique ID is your stable identifier for a site, so imports and updates always match the right record and never create duplicates. Names can repeat (two “Main Street” sites), but the Unique ID can’t.
Any code you already use—a store number, site code, or account number. It only needs to be unique within your workspace. If you don’t have one, the location name is used as a starting point that you can edit.
Paste from a spreadsheet or upload a CSV, XLS, or XLSX file to add hundreds of locations at once. Match on a Unique ID to update existing records in bulk instead of creating copies, and include a scenario column to auto-apply task checklists during import.
Yes. Build your location list once, then pull the same sites into as many projects as you like—an install rollout, a maintenance sweep, next year’s refresh—without re-entering any details. Its contacts, timezone, attachments, and history stay in one place.

Projects & scenarios

A project is the initiative and its scope—which locations are involved and when. A scenario is the reusable checklist of work. Keeping them separate means one location can join many projects over time without re-entering its details.
A checkbox (done / not done), a text or number value (e.g. a serial number), or a single- or multiple-choice question with preset options. Group tasks into sections to keep long checklists organized.
Yes. You can add or edit tasks on individual sites at any time, and you can export tasks to a spreadsheet, update statuses and responses in bulk, then re-upload to apply the changes across many sites at once.

Collaboration, reviews & change requests

Yes. Outside crews can be invited as Contributors and only see the work assigned to them. Store managers get a Location portal scoped to their own site, where they can update contact info, see what’s scheduled, add notes and files, and file change requests. Neither counts against a seat limit—there isn’t one.
A project can require approval before a site counts as complete. You choose whether any reviewer or all reviewers must sign off, giving you a full approval trail.
Store managers and vendors can request schedule or scope changes. They land in your Change Requests queue, where you approve or deny each one in a single place—no more tracking who asked for what across email, calls, and texts.

Billing & security

You pay for the locations you actively manage—not per user. Every plan includes unlimited users and collaborators, so you can invite your whole team, vendors, and store managers for free.
Choosing a plan starts your trial—there’s no charge during the trial period, and you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from Settings → Billing.
Access is role-based, every change is logged with a full audit trail, and external collaborators only ever see exactly what they’re scoped to. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
Our public API is actively being built. If you have an integration in mind, tell us about it on the API page and we’ll be in touch.
